Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized university; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Engineering; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
- Must have passed the Divisional Officer Course from the National Fire College, Nagpur, or completed a minimum three-month Senior Supervisory Officer Training from a Central Government-recognized institution.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the firefighting field, including 2 years in a senior supervisory equivalent post.

- Academic Qualification: Maximum 50 Marks
- Work Experience: Maximum 20 Marks
- Interview: Maximum 30 Marks
- Total Marks: 100 Marks
- 2 marks will be awarded for each additional completed year of relevant work experience beyond the minimum required 12 years, subject to a maximum of 20 marks.
- Candidates must produce all original documents during Document Verification.
- If a large number of applications are received, BPSC may conduct a Screening Test to shortlist candidates.
- The Final Merit List will be prepared based on the marks obtained in Academic Qualification, Work Experience and Interview, subject to successful document verification and fulfillment of all eligibility conditions.
